Early Bird Registration – forms can be downloaded here

In-person or Online –  What’s the difference?

Our ticket pricing has 3 tiers.  Early Bird, Online Stage 1 and Online Stage 2.  Registering at the Early Bird Registration gives you the best value by far!  Once online ticket sales opens, pricing increases with time until sold out.

If you register in person you’ll get:

  • Melburn Roobaix tickets before they are available online.
  • Tickets will be at a discounted price.
  • A limited reward to the first 1,000 registrations.
  • You’ll save on postage costs.
  • You’ll go into the draw to win a $100 FYXO gift voucher.

Why won’t it let me register online?

  • It may be because it’s sold out!
  • It hasn’t opened for purchasing yet.
  • Or you’ve duplicated emails as you may only use one email address per registration.

If you’re not certain, please email us at melburnroobaix(at)fyxo.co

How do I get a ticket?

Come to Early-Bird Registration OR purchase when they are available online.   Both methods will result in you getting a physical ticket.

Are the tickets electronic?

Nope. You’ll get an actual paper ticket to present on the day to ride.  This makes the check-in process on the day a breeze, and by keeping your stub you go into the draw to win more prizes!

Don’t forget to bring it on the day.

What if I lose my ticket?

That’d be just like losing money.  Please don’t.  Put it in a secure place until Sunday 25 June.  You will not be able to collect your Rider Pack at Admission without your ticket.

How do I collect my ticket?

Early Bird Registration – you will receive an envelope with the ticket inside it upon payment.
Registering Online – your ticket will be sent to the person who purchased it via eParcel which includes tracking.

I ordered more than one ticket.  How do I know which ticket is for who?

Tickets are numbered, and if you order multiple tickets anyone in your group can use any of those tickets. Only those who are registered are eligible for insurance, prizes, etc. So in that sense they are non-transferable. But any ticket is okay for you and your friends if registered.

Where does it start?

The start location will be emailed to you one week prior to the event.

How do I collect my rider pack?

At the start location there will be a marquee; You will need to present your ticket(s) in exchange for the Rider Pack(s). Once you have your Rider Pack you may begin your adventure.

What’s in the rider pack?

Your Rider Pack is a musette (bag) containing a map with the course route, a manifest of checkpoint questions, a pen to write with, and an event spoke card.  Other giveaways may be scored along the way on the day.

How long is the Melburn Roobaix?

If you ride all sectors along the suggested route the course is approximately 40 km. You have until 3.30pm to get to the finish for the prize raffle, which gives you 4.5 hours if you depart at 11am when registration closes. This should allow time time to get lost, find yourself, repeat your favourite sector, take photos, stop for coffee, and make new bike friends.

What happens if I don’t complete the course?

Completing all sectors of the course is not compulsory. You will be eligible for all raffle prizes except the major prize if you don’t complete all of the sectors. You must be present at the Velodrome to collect your prize. No prizes are awarded for speed or athletic merit. This is not a race. It is a hell of a lot of fun.

What happens if I don’t ride all the sectors, or answer all the questions?

If you skip a sector, or get a question wrong you will still be eligible for all the prize raffles except for for the major prize – Winner of Melburn Roobaix.

I got to Roobaix first! What do I win?

Nothing. Not for second, third or any minor placing. You’ll be twiddling your thumbs at the velodrome a long time waiting for those who got lost, stopped for coffee, and made new friends along the way.
